JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – State-owned bank PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk (BBTN) reported net profit of Rp333.71 billion in first 3 months to March of 2013, compared to Rp312.8 billion in the same period of 2012.
Net interest income rose 17% to Rp1.27 trillion from previous Rp1.08 trillion. Net interest margin was 5.39%. BTN booked interest income of Rp2.52 trillion, compared to Rp2.11 trillion a previous year.
BTN booked operating profit of Rp454.96 billion, compared to Rp432.98 billion in first 3 months to March of 2012.
As of September 2012, its assets totaled Rp120.18 trillion of which credit amounted Rp79.17 trillion. Third party fund reached Rp80.75 trillion of which time deposit totaled Rp45.34 trillion.
Non performing loan (NPL) was 3.83% while loan to deposit ratio reached 98.19%. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
