JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Bank Rakyat Indonsia (BRI) Tbk (BBRI), the second largest bank in terms of assets, reported 12.56% grown in loan disbursement during first half of this year, the highest compared to Bank Mandiri and Bank Central Asia (BCA).
BRI’s loan grew by 12.56% to Rp394.85 trillion in the period, compared to Rp350.76 trillion in first half of 2012. Bank Mandiri’s loan increased 10% to Rp423.24 trillion while BCA’s loan rose 9% to Rp280.4 trillion.
People also put more funds in BRI as the bank’s third party funds rose 7% to Rp442.23 trillion. Bank Mandiri and BCA only experienced loan growth of 4% and 2.2% respectively.
In terms of assets, Bank Mandiri leads with assets of RpRp672 trillion as of June, 2013, followed by Bank Rakyat Indonesia Rp556 trillion and Bank Central Asia Rp458 trillion.
BRI booked profit after tax of Rp10.25 trillion, grew by 17.7% from Rp8.62 trillion in first half of 2012.
