Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff has reportedly recalled the country’s ambassador to Indonesia for consultation following execution of Marco Archer Cordosa 30 minutes after the midnight.

BBC quoted President Rousseff saying she has recalled Brazilian ambassador to Jakarta for consultations. “Relations between the two countries have been affected,” said Rousseff in a statement.

Marco Archer was arrested in 2003 with 13.4 kg of cocaine hidden in his hang gilder. Tangerang District Court in Banten Province sentenced Archer to death on June 8, 2014.

The Supreme Court refused Marco Archer’s appeals in January 2005. He then asked for clemency from President, which was refused twice in 2006 and 2008. Brazilian president had also requested for clemency for Archer to President Joko Widodo, but denied.
