JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Two taxi companies, Blue Bird Group and PT Express Transindo Utama, plan to launch the initial public offeriing (IPO), Bisnis Indonesia reported this morning.
Noni Purnomo, vice president director of Blue Bird Group, said the Group is committed to launch IPO in mid of 2013.
Media have earlier reported Blue Bird plans to offer 20-30% stake to the public.
Meanwhile, Express, subsidiary of Rajawali Corpora, has appointed PT Mandiri Sekuritas as underwriter for the IPO, to raise Rp500 billion from offering 25% stake.
Other transportation companies also plan to launch IPO this year, They are car rental company PT Adi Sarana Armada, cargo company PT Siba Surya, and shipping company PT Pelayaran Nelly Dewi Putri.
Currently 17 transportation company are listed at the Indonesia Stock Exchange, including flag carrier PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk (GIAA). (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
