JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Bank Internasional Indonesia (BII) Tbk (BNII) mulls to issue negotiable certificate of deposit (NCD) worth Rp500 billion in the second half of this year.
BII needs to issue NCD to serve the expected growing demand for loans. As at July 2015, BII’s loan disbursement reached Rp1089 trillion. BII targets its loan to grow by 17% this year, but the current economic slowdown might cap the growth.
Meanwhile, shareholders of BII had on Monday (August 24) aggreed on BII’s name change into PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk, expected to effective on November this year as now the name change is proposed to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for approval.
