JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked Immigration Office to ban Banten governor Ratu Atut Choisiyah from overseas travel following the arrest of his brother in a bribery case.
Johan Budi SP, spokesperson of KPK, said Atut is banned from overseas travel to anticipate possible examination related to his brother’s case.
As reported earlier, Atut’s brother Tubagus Chairy Wardhana AKA Wawan was among six persons arrested by KPK investigators related to bribery of Akil Mochtar, chief of the Constitutional Court.
Atut is also leader of Golkar Party in Banten province. Her brother Wardhana, meanwhile, is husband of Tangerang Selatan mayor Airin Rachmi Diany.
