JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Bank CIMB Tbk (BNGA) claims to comply the free float regulation before 2016, as the new free float regulation requiring a minimum 7.5% shares owned by public investors or non controlling shareholder will fully be implemented next year. This regulation has been effective since January 30, 2014.

Currently Bank CIMB is controlled by CIMB Group Holdings BHS (96.2%), Norges Bank Investment Management (0.03%), and public investors (the rest).

The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) has issued new free float regulation requiring listed companies to deliver less than 50 million shares and less than 7.5% of enlarged shares capital to non controlling or main shareholders.
