JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Investors opted to sell shares of Bank CIMB Niaga (BNGA) and Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional (BTPN) after the banks published their financial report for 2013.
However trading in both stocks were in light volume. At 3.41 pm Jakarta time, BNGA fell 1.6% to Rp920 oer share with 587,732 shares exchanged hands. While BTPN declined 0.2% to Rp4490 with volume of 153,548 shares.
Bank CIMB-Niaga, the fifth largest bank by total assets, booked net profit of Rp4.28 trillion last year, inched up 1.2% from 2012 as its net interest income grew only by 4.2%.
Meanwhile, BTPN reported strong performance in nine months of 2013, but substantial correction in the fourth quarter of 2013 cut its profit growth to 7.7% only for the year. It booked net profit of Rp2.13 trillion in 2013, compared to Rp1.98 trillion in 2012.
