JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – shares of breweries, PT Multi Bintang Indonesia (MLBI) and PT Delta Djakarta Tbk (DLTA), opened flat this morning while the government of Indonesia, effective today, bans the sales of alcoholic beverages in convenience stores throughout the country.
However breveries stocks have fallen since January 2015 when Trade Minister Rachmat Gobel told to the press about this issue.
On Thursday (April 16), investors sold MLBI and DLTA shares. Then, MLBI shares lost 1.04% to Rp9500 per share, falling 18.8% year to date. While DLTA shares declined 0.18% to Rp279,500 per share, losing 28.3% year to date.
The Trade Minister Rachmat Gobel had issued the Ministerial Regulation Number 6/2015, barring the sales of alcoholic beverages with less than 5% alcohol contenct, i.e., beer, in convenience stores throughout the country.
