DENPASAR (Yosefardi) – The provincial government of Bali mulls to regulate the basic tariff for hotels to prevent the unhealthy competition which impacts on weakening the quality services, Bisnis Indonesia reported this morning.

Bali governor Made Mangku Pastika noted that the tariff war among hotels in Bali is extremely worried.

He has not mentioned yet whether the regulation on hotel basic tariff would be formulated through the governor regulation or regional by-law.

In November 2014, referring to data from Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), people on average stayed in the star hotels in Bali for around 3.23 days, down 0.06 point compared to previous month. While total Hotel rooms in Bali now reach around 75,000 units.
