JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Opened in positive territory, the composite index of Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) slipped 0.12% Tuesday (August 28) morning, dragged down by Bakrie-related stocks, mining, and plantation stocks.
Bumi Resources leads the losers with 10.11% fall and 123 million shares exchanged hands in the first hour of trading. Energi Mega Persada also lost 4.8%, while Bakrie Telecom and Bakrie Sumatra Plantations lost 2.8% each.
Borneo Lumbung Energy (BORN), Bakrie’s partner at Bumi Plc, also lost 5.36%, while Berau Coal Energy (BRAU) down 3.6%.
Adaro Energy (ADRO) down 2%, Harum lost 1.6%, while Indika and Petrosea are also in red. In the plantation sector, PP London Sumatra down 3%, while Tunas Baru Lampung lost 1.85%.
Bank Mandiri, Telkom, and Semen Gresik also added the pressures, but Astra stocks, XL Axiata, Indocement, and Unilever prevented bigger correction of the index. (Indonesia Today)
