JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Police Commissioner General Badrodin Haiti, Chief of the National Police Security Maintenance Agency (Baharkam), was appointed as the new Vice Chief of the National Police replacing Commissioner General Oegroseno, who enters his mandatory retirement age.
Chief of the National Police General Sutarman was reluctant to comment on the reason of chosing Badrodin as well as Badrodin’s successor as new Chief of the National Police Security Maintenance Agency.
Badrodin was Born in Paleran, Umbulsari, Jember, East Java, on Jul. 24, 1958. He graduated from the Police Academy in 1982, awarded with the Adhi Makayasa medal as the best graduated student.
Before serving Chief of the National Police Security Maintenance Agency, Badrodin held various strategic positions such as Operational Assistance of Chief of the National Police, Chief of the National Police’s Legal Division, Chief of the North Sumatra Police office, Director I at the National Police’s Detective Division, Chief of the Central Sulawesi Police office, and Chief of the Banten Police Police office.
Badrodin’s wealth, submitted to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), reches Rp5.8 billion. Back in 2010, Badrodin’s name had been tipped as one of several police general who have suspicious fat bank accounts as reported by the Anti-Money Laundering Agency PPATK.
