JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Toyota‘s main dealer in Indonesia, Auto 2000, owned by PT Astra International Tbk (ASII), plans to spend Rp850 billion to Rp1 trillion for expansion next year, Bisnis Indonesia reported this morning.
Jodjana Jody, CEO of Astra International-Toyota Sales Corporation, said 75% of funds will be used to acquire new lands and the rest for funding building development.
He said the new lands will be used for stock yard, showroom and spare parts outlets.
Jodjana said Auto2000 plans to add 7 dealers this year, making a total of 161 dealers in Indonesia, and targets to have 200 dealers or outlets by 2015 with Toyota factory capacity boosting to 230,000 units per year starting next year. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
