JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Former sport minister Andi Alfian Mallarangeng has been examined for more than 7 hours Friday (Oct 11) by anti graft commission KPK, but he was not detained as expected. Andi spoke to media that he was questioned related to the budgeting process on the controversial project of Hambalang sports center. “The questions were focused on the budgeting and I have answered clearly and properly,” said Andi. Andi Mallarangeng had been named as suspect since December 6, 2012. Another famous suspect in the case is Anas Urbaningrum, former Chairman of President SBY’s Democratic Party. Telecommunication Firm Faces PKPU Petition

JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Telecommunication provider PT Citra Sari Makmur (CSM) is currently facing a threat of Postponement of Debt Settlement Obligation (PKPU). PT Bank Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) filed the PKPU over CSM to the Central Jakarta District Court. The bank claimed that CSM has failed to pay Rp53.375 billion debts to the bank. CSM has also matured debt of Rp1 trillion to other 15 banks. Based on the agreement, CSM supposed to make payment in two periods, March 2013 and June 2013. However, since July 2012 CSM did not made payment, triggered Bukopin to file PKPU. The judges are scheduled to read verdict on this case on Oct. 16, 2013....

Tranka Kabel Has Two Weeks for Settlement Proposal

JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Troubled company PT Tranka Kabel should submit its settlement proposal within two weeks as the deadline has been set on Oct. 25, 2013. After the proposal submitted, the creditors will discuss before making a vote on Nov. 7, 2013. Kiki Nasirhadi, who is in charge in the PKPU process, revealed that the company has yet submitted the proposal. Central Jakarta Commercial Court granted PT Tranka Kabel’s Postponement of Debt Settlement Obligation (PKPU) voluntary petition. The panel of the judges have appointed curators from Wibhisana and Partners Law Office to handle the PKPU process. With the granting of the PKPU petition, Tranka Kabel has successfully avoided bankruptcy suit. The PKPU petition was Tranka Kabel’s rebuttal of bankruptcy suit filed by CV Setia Mandiri and CV Barlian Jaya Utama. Setia Mandiri and Barlian Jaya previously filed bankruptcy suit based on the aluminum purchase amounting US$200,355. Meanwhile, Tranka Kabal itself also included PT Wonosari Jaya as the other creditor....
