Hambalang Case: KPK Urged to Summon Sudi Silalahi

JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The anti graft commission KPK is urged to summon Cabinet Secretary Sudi Silalahi, to help KPK on investigation over Hambalang sports center scandal. Emerson Yuntho, Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) executive, stated that Sudi should be examined to confirm his involvement on the mega scandal. Gerindra: Jokowi Should Be Consistent

JAKARTA (Yosefard) – Prabowo’s Gerindra Party revealed that the party has a political contract with Jokowi. The contract required Jokowi to lead Jakarta until the end of his period. Suhardi, Chairman of Gerindra Party, stated that his party wants to remind both Jokowi and Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) to be consistent. “The political contract requires Jokowi to be consistent and finish his duty as Jakarta Governor,” said Suhardi, as quoted by Kompas. Cebongan Prison Executor Gets 11 Years Jail

YOGYAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Cebongan prison murder incident finally has entered the final chapter. Yogyakarta Military Court found 2nd Sgt Ucok Tigor Simbolon is guilty for murders of four people in the prison and sentenced him with 11 years imprisonment. On the verdict trial held on Sep. 5, 2013, the court also sentenced 2nd Sgt Sugeng Sumaryanto 1 Corporal Kodik with eight and six years imprisonment respectively. First Media Wins Lawsuit against Parent Company

JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Hong Kong listed company AcrossAsia Limited failed to overturn court verdict after the Supreme Court turned down its cassation against bankruptcy order filed by its subsidiary PT First Media Tbk. The Supreme Court, through verdict No 214 K/Pdt.Sus-PKPU/2013, decided to affirm the bankruptcy order with dismissing AcrossAsia’s petition. However, AcrossAsia is willing to pursue further legal action with filing judicial review against the decision. “The Company has been advised by its Indonesian lawyers that the Company has a further avenue of appeal for a judicial review. The Company intends to lodge such an appeal. The decision of the Indonesian Supreme Court in dismissing the Company’s appeal against the Indonesian Bankruptcy Order is therefore not final,” said AcrossAsia in its announcement. ICSID to Proceed Niko Resources Case in Bangladesh Dispute

WASHINGTON (Yosefardi) – Niko Resources Bangladesh received positive arbitration ruling after International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) declared that the arbitration board has the authority to adjudicate the case. The disputed named Niko Resources Bangladesh as the applicant and as he respondent are Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration & Production (Bapex) and Bangladesh Oil Gas and Mineral (Petrobangla).
