Jaya Ancol to Hold The Cultural Night Art Market

JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The amusement park Taman Impian Jaya Ancol (PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk) will hold various cultural night art market and cultural art performances to increase its visitors. Interestingly enough, instead of presenting the Indonesia traditional cultural art market, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol will also present the foreign cultural art. According to Ancol’s official website, the amusement park will launch this event in cooperation with foreign embassies in Jakarta such as India, Denmark, Spain and Embassy of Jordan. At the begining of the program, scheduled for March 21-22, 2014, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol will hold India Holi Festival with “Colors of India” as the theme. The “India Holi Festival” is one of religious holiday in India, which is celebrated to welcome the spring that usually falls on February or March. Police Seizes 2 Homemade Bombs in South Sulawesi

JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The anti-terrorism unit Detachment 88 discovered a packaged bomb sent from Surabaya, East Java, to Makassar, South Sulawesi on Friday (March 21). The two homemade bombs were seized in the JNE office, a logistic courier services company, in Wajo Sengkang, Makassar. The terrorist group plans to explode the bombs at the some dodgy shady stalls (locally called warung remang-remang) in Luwu district, South Sulawesi. “They have surveyed the target location and would explode the bomb in Barabba Balopa, Luwu district,” the National Police spokesman Insp. Jakarta Govt Offers Free Double-Decker Tour Buses

JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Jakarta Tourism and Culture Agency offers a free tour to the domestic and foreign tourists using five units of new double-decker tour buses, aiming to boost the Jakarta tourism. The Jakarta provincial government had Monday (Feb 24) launched the operation of the double-decker tour buses, to operate at 9 am to 9 pm Jakarta time for six days a week. The air-conditioned tour buses will serve the routes of Hotel Indonesia to National Monument, passing through the Istiqlal mosque, the Presidential Palace, and City Hall. Jakarta government also plans to add 15 new buses to serve the city tour, with the destination of the Dutch colonial surrounding of Kota Tua in North Jakarta and Blok M in South Jakarta. The buses, equipped with GPS, audio system and television screen, will carry 60 passengers. Each bus would make 10 trips a day regardless the Jakarta’s traffic jam. However the tourism agencies warn that some opportunities would take the advantage of free ride for the Jakarta commuters. Therefore the government is urged to focus on the passenger safety....

Bloomberg TV to Serve Free News Channels for Indonesia

JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Indonesia Bloomberg TV, the subscription-based business television channel, can be accessed freely by Indonesian audiences through 20 local television channels in Indonesia. Adithya Chandra Wardhana, the CEO of Indonesia’s Bloomberg TV, and Bambang Santoso, the CEO of PT Cahaya Televisi Indonesia (CTV), had last Friday (Feb 21) signed an partnership agreement. The Indonesian version of American-based cable business news television channel would air a great variety of business news from various regions in Indonesia by sharing news content with the 18 local television channels under PT CTV.
