JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) plans to add 20 automotive dealers by end of this year to keep its 51% market shares for national car sales.
Currently PT Toyota Astra Motor has 260 dealers while PT Astra Daihatsu Motor has 190 dealers.
Toyota and Daihatsu will boost their export capacity to 150,000 units of cars this year. ASII targets to produce 730,000 units of car this year.
ASII allocates capital expenditure (capex) of Rp5 trillion for automotive segment this year. ASII sets total capex of Rp12 trillion for this year.
