JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (AALI) produced 403,383 tons of crude palm oil (CPO) in first quarter of this year, grew by 14.6% from 352,093 tons in the same period of last year, driven by increasing FFB production and FFB purchased from 3rd parties.
AALI’s FFB production reach 1.29 million tons, increase by 6.7% with yield at 5.19 tons FFB/ha, increase 1.4% from 5.12 tons FFB/ha last year.
Significant contribution towards AALI’s FFB production growth came from AALI’s estate in Kalimantan which reach 15% increase, from 475,479 tons to 546,568 tons and from Sulawesi with 6.2% increase from 239,045 tons. Meanwhile Sumatra’s FFB production decrease by 0.9% to 502.999 tons.
From January to March 2014, AALI’s net income has increased significantly, which reach 120.2% increase, amounting Rp 784.6 billion from Rp 356.4 billion in the same period last year. This is due to increase in net revenue (which impacted by the increasing average CPO selling price).
Net revenue increase to Rp 8.95 trillion from Rp 6.46 trillion last year or increase by 38.4%.
