JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Asian stock markets opened mostly lower ground Monday, September 23 to tracking negative sentiment from Wall Street.
Australia’s All Ordinaries lost 0.86% this morning, while STI Index dropped 0.88%. FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI also down 0.44%, but KOSPI composite gained 0.33%.
Last Friday, Wall Street ended substantially lower with Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) losing 1.2%, while Nasdaq composite declined 0.39%.
Commodities were also under pressure. Nymex crude oil lost 1% to US$104.75 per barrel, while gold futures collapsed 1.92% to US$1332 per ounce.
