JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Stock markets in the region open mixed Monday (October 14), while Nymex crude oil declined 1.4% to US$101.6 per barrel in Asian trading.
Australia’s All Ordinaries lost 0.65%, while KOSPI Composite index down 0.2%. Singapore’s STI also slipped 0.21%, while FTSE BUrsa Malaysia KLCI down 0.15%. Japan and Indonesia markets are off for public holidays.
Nymex crude oil, meanwhile, opened lower by 1.36% to US$101.6 per barrel in Asian trading. Gold fell sharply by 2.09% to US$1269 per ounce.
Last Friday, Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) advanced 0.73% to 15,237, while Nasdaq composite gained 0.83%. FTSE 100 also ended higher by 0.88%.
