JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Ceramic producer PT Arwana Citramulia (ARNA) booked net profit of Rp133.97 billion in first half of this year, doubled from Rp65.02 billion in the same period of 2012.

Net sales increased 30% to Rp683.71 billion with the margin reached 20% (2012:12%). The company targets sales to grow by 60% this year and to book net profit of Rp250 billion.

The company said its new plant, the fourth plant located in Palembang, South Sumatera, with capacity of 8 million m2 per year will commence production next month.

This new facility will boost ARNA’s production capacity to 45 million m2 this year, a 10% increase compared to 41.37 million m2 last year.

Currently the company operates 3 factories. It also plans to increase selling price of its ceramic products by 12% this year, alongwith the growing production cost.
