JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – State miner PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) Tbk (ANTM) has spent capital expenditure (capex) of Rp1.1 trillion in first half of this year, 76% used for funding the business development.

The company spent capex of Rp322 billion for ferronickel plant expansion in Pomalaa and Rp200 billion for ferronickel project in East Halmahera. Capex for gold mine business segment reached Rp105 billion in first half of this year.

Antam allocates capex of Rp5.95 trillion for this year. As of June, the company has been working on some key projects such as chemical grade alumina (CGA) project in Tayan (95% construction), ferronickel project in East Halmahera (5% EPC stage), ferronickel plant expansion in Pomalaa (27% construction).
