JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – State miner PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) Tbk (ANTM) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the West Java Police Force in the implementation of security and law enforcement within Antam’s Pongkor Gold Mining Business Unit, located in Nanggung, Bogor regency, West Java.
Key aspects of the MoU include security measures, law enforcement and protection of assets and infrastructures of Pongkor gold mine.
Antam’s Gold Mining Business Unit is one of Indonesia’s national vital objects by having a strategic and vital value to the state, has a significant contribution to the state revenue.
Other than Pongkor, Antam’s gold exploration is also located in Papandayan (West Java), Cibaliung (Banten), Batulicin (Jambi), and Air Niru (Bengkulu).
While its nickel exploration is located in Buli (North Maluku) and Pomalaa (Southeast Sulawesi). Antam also explores bauxite in Tayan and Munggu Pasir (West Kalimantan) and explores coal in Tebo (Jambi).
