JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Graft suspect Suroso Atmo Martoyo has filed a pre-trial petition against the decision from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on naming the former Pertamina’s Director for Processing as suspect in a bribery case implicating Innospec Ltd, a subsidiary of a Nasdaq listed company Innospec Inc.
KPK’s Spokesperson Priharsa Nugraha confirmed the report. In a different place, the Spokesperson of the South Jakarta District Court Made Sutrisna revealed that the trial of a pre-trial petition filed by Suroso has been scheduled on Mar. 30.
As reported earlier, a number of graft suspects also filed similar pre-trial petition against KPK. They are former Chief of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Hadi Poernomo, Sutan Bhatoegana of SBY’s Democratic Party, Fuad Amin Imron of Gerindra Party, Sabu Raijua Regent Marthen Dira Tome, and Suryadharma Ali of the United Development Party (PPP).
Previously, Police Comr. Gen. Budi Gunawan won the pre-trial petition against the KPK at the South Jakarta District Court. Judge Sarpin Rizaldi of the South Jakarta District Court ruled KPK’s decision to name Budi Gunawan as a graft suspect is baseless and illegitimate. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
