JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Angkasa Pura II and PT Telkom Indonesia claimed that no monopoly is committed in the e-pos project procurement for Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
Before the court, legal representatives of Angkasa Pura II and Telkom claimed that the procurement has been conducted without any unfair business competition element. The defense statement was read before the judges on September 1, 2013.
Erik Permana, Angkasa Pura’s lawyer, revealed that the tender announcement for the disputed project has been opened for 30 days, but only Telkom registered as interested party.
Moreover he also highlighted the fact that the contract between Telkom and Angkasa Pura is only effective for 3 years. It means Angkasa Pura will open the project for different telecommunication company in the future.
Previously The Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) claimed that the project contained monopoly aspect. Angkasa Pura, according to KPPU, has violated article 14(2), 17 and 19, while Telkom violated article 17 and 10 of Monopoly Law No 5/1999. (indrab@yosefardi.biz)
