JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Shares of state miner PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) lost 2.17% this morning to Rp1,340 per share, after the company reported a drop in profit for first half of this year.
Aneka Tambang reported it booked net profit of Rp373.57 billion in first half of this year, fell 21% from Rp475.98 billion in the same period of last year.
Net sales increased to Rp6.13 trillion from previous Rp4.49 trillion, but cost of goods sold also rose to Rp5.17 trillion from earlier Rp3.62 trillion.
Operating expense also increased to Rp566.95 billion, then the company booked operating profit of Rp384.15 billion, lower than Rp402.2 billion in first half of 2012.
Meanwhile, state tin producer PT Timah Tbk (TINS), the world second largest tin producer, booked net profit of Rp137 billion in first half of this year, dropped 59% from Rp337 billion in the same period of last year. Revenues also fell 32% to Rp2.79 trillion from previous Rp4.13 trillion.
TINS also fell 0.78% to Rp1,280 per share this morning. (yohanneso@yosefardi.biz)
