JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Athiyyah Laila, wife of the ousted Chairman of President SBY’s Democratic Party Anas Urbaningrum, finally came to the office of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to be summoned on the graft scandal of the controversial Hambalang stadium project.
Athiyyah had earlier failed to answer KPK’s call on Nov. 18 due to sickness. This is the second examination of Athiyyah after being questioned on April 27, 2012.
KPK has raided Athiyyah & Anas’ private house. In the raid, KPK has confiscated Athiyyah’s passport and some documents. Latest, KPK has asked Immigration Office to ban Athiyyah from overseas travel.
Athiyyah is known as former commissioner of PT Dutasari Citralaras, a partner of a state-owned construction firm PT Adhi Karya Tbk (ADHI) in the construction of the Hambalang project. Athiyyah in previous report, reportedly owned some shares in PT Dutasari Citralaras. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
