JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – A rumor saying former Democratic Party’s politician Gede Pasek Suardika, a loyalists of Anas Urbaningrum, to join the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) has emerged in the past few days.

Gede Pasek Suardika, however, played down the rumor on him, saying he has no plan to join PDI-P.

Trimedya Panjaitan, PDI-P lawmaker and politician, also added PDI-P and Gede Pasek did not make such a concrete talk about the issue.

However Trimedya admitted that a rumor could be the fact, as nothing is impossible.

Gede Pasek is a Balinese, a region is now home of PDI-P’s supporters. In addition, Trimedya said, Gede Pasek had a good communication with PDI-P when he served as Head of the House Commission III (overseeing law and human rights affairs).

Gede Pasek has recently dismissed by the President SBY’s Democratic Party from its membership, then Gede Pasek was also dismissed from membership of DPR. Gede Pasek intended to take legal action to challenge the dismissal.

Now, Gede Pasek serves as Secretary General of the Indonesian Movement Organization (PPI), founded by the ousted Chairman of Democratic Party Anas Urbaningrum. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
