JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Head of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Amien Rais launched another attack to the DKI Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo (Jokowi). In his latest statement, Amien compares Jokowi to the former Philippine President Joseph Estrada, who, according to Amien, always gets drunk.

In a public lecture in Diponegoro University, Semarang, Amien shared his view that Jokowi was only elected as DKI Jakarta Governor for his popularity. He also urged the Diponegoro University students not to vote for Jokowi as president only for his popularity, mostly thanks to media coverage.

Furthermore, Amin said there was a similarity between Jokowi and Estrada, being elected for the sake of popularity.

Amien, moreover, pointed out that Solo is still among the poorest areas in Central Java after Jokowi left his post as mayor.

It is not the first for Amin to criticize the capital city governor. In August 2013, Amin publicly requested Jokowi to prove all his campaign promises for DKI before entering the presidential election.

In the earlier occasion Amin also questioned the award for Jokowi as one of the best mayor in the world. (indrab@yosefardi.biz)
