JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Panel of judges at the East Jakarta District Court found Ahmad Abdul Qodir Jaelani (popularly called as Dul), the youngest son of famous musician Ahmad Dhani and Maia Estianti, guilty in a fatal traffic crash which killed seven, but decided to free the 13-year-old defendant from jail punishment.
In a verdict trail on Wednesday (July 16), panel of judges led by Petriyanti concluded that Dul has been proven guilty for violating Article 310 Paragraph 4, Article 310 Paragraph 3, and Article 310 Paragraph 1 of the Land Transportation and Traffic Controls Kaw No. 22/2009.
The judges, however, rejected the prosecutor’s demand of one year in jail for Dul with 2 years probation. The judges also rejected the prosecutor’s demand of ordering Dul to conduct social work and to pay Rp5 million in fine.
The fatal traffic crash incident itself was occurred at Jagorawi toll road on September 8, 2013. The crash, killed seven people, also injured nine others.
Previously, there was another fatal traffic case implicating M Rasyid Amrullah Rajasa, the youngest son of former Coordinating Minister for Economy Hatta Rajasa (President SBY’s father-in-law, Chairman of PAN, and vice president candidate), that received a lot of public attention.
