JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Agung Laksono, Chairman of Golkar Party, announced the party’s decision to pull out from the Red-and-White opposition group (KMP).
In a press briefing on Tuesday (Mar. 10) noon after the government legitimized his Golkar, Agung said Golkar will support Jokowi-Kalla administration instead. Agung, however, assured that Golkar will not join into the Great Indonesia ruling coalition (KIH).
Agung explained that said decisions are the mandates from the Golkar’s chairmanship congress (munas) in Jakarta.
As reported earlier, Minister of Law & Human Rights Yasonna Laoly issued a letter No. M.HH.AH.11.03-26 dated Mar. 10, 2015, that gave official recognition over Agung’s Golkar.
But Aburizal “Ical” Bakrie’s faction complained Yasonna’s decision. Ical’s faction said they will soon file a petition to challenge Yasonna’s decision to the State Administrative Court (PTUN). (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
