JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Attorney General Office (AGO) has on Thursday (Nov. 26) questioned the acting Governor of North Sumatra Tengku Erry Nuradi, who is also politician from Surya Paloh’s Nasdem Party, related to further investigation into bribery scandal implicating non-active Governor of North Sumatra Gatot Pujo Nugroho, a PKS politician.

The AGO’s head of investigator team Victor Antonius confirmed the AGO’s questioning over Erry Nuradi to Kompas.com this afternoon.

This is second examination session for Erry Nuradi. Previously, Erry has already been questioned by the AGO’s investigator on August 5, 2015.

The Ago named Gatot and Eddy Sofyan as suspects in this case. Eddy Sofyan is former head of North Sumatra provincial administration’s National Unity & Community Protection Agency (Kesbanglinmas).

Gatot allegedly misused North Sumatra’s social assistance funds(Bansos) during the period of 2012-2013. The AGO estimated around Rp2.2 billion of state losses. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
