JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) had seized Rp2 billion cash at the raids in four different places in the complex of the Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources (ESDM).
The raids was related to the investigation into graft and bribery scandals of the powerful Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Body (SKK Migas).
This is the second seizures of cash money after in August 2013, KPK seized US$200,000 fund when making the raid in the office of Waryono Karno, former Secretary General of the Energy Ministry and one of suspects in the case.
KPK spokesperson Johan Budi Sapto Prabowo revealed that Rp2 billion cash was seized at three rooms of the Central Management of State Property (PPBMN) office, a working unit of Secretary General at the Energy Ministry and from a Toyota Kijang Innova car owned by Sri Utami, chief of PPBMN and treasurer of the Energy Ministry.
