President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo has on Wednesday (Dec 31) installed Ade Supandi as new chief of staff of Indonesian Navy.
Admiral Supandi replaces Admiral Marsetio, who enters mandatory retirement age.
Born in Batujajar, Bandung, on May 26, 11960, Supandi was previously general chief of staff of Indonesian military since early 2014.
Other names tipped to replace Marsetio were D Albert Mamahit (executive head of Marine Security Coordination Agency/Korkamla) and Widodo (Commander of Western Fleet of Indonesian Navy).
