JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Some senior politicians from Golkar Party add more pressures to Aburizal “Ical” Bakrie ahead of the Golkar national leadership meeting (Rapimnas), as they suggested the Golkar Party Chairman to turn off his presidential bid.
Suhardiman, one of the party’s founders, suggested Ical to take respected role as a kingmaker, to endorse young figures such as most popular Jakarta Governor Joko “Jokowi” Widodo.
Zainal Bintang, another Golkar senior politician, is also worrying about Golkar’s electability if the party endorsed Ical, with low approval rating, to enter presidential race next year.
Golkar is expected to hold its national leadership meeting at JS Luwansa Hotel in South Jakarta on Nov. 22-23, 2013, delayed from initial schedule on Oct. 28-30, in Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
