JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Surya Citra Media (SCMA) Tbk, parent company of SCTV and Indosiar, is currently bigger than Harry Tanoesoedibjo’s Media Nusantara Citra (MNCN) by market capitalization.
SCMA, controlled by Sariaatmadja Family, currently has market cap of Rp38.4 trillion, bigger than MNCN, parent of RCTI and GlobalTV, which has market cap of Rp37.3 trillion.
SCMA gained 31.3% year-to-date, while MNCN’s gain cut to 7% only following corrections in the past few days.
SCMA is now the 20th largest company on IDX by market cap, bigger than XL Axiata, Matahari Dept Stores, and Indo
Tambangraya Megah, but smaller than Jasa Marga (Rp40.7 trillion).
HM Sampoerna is still the largest company with cap of Rp290 trillion, followed by Astra International, BCA, Unilever, and Telkom.
