JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Shares of Global Mediacom (BMTR), controlling shareholder of Media Nusantara Citra (MNCN), plummeted 15% Tuesday (August 20) morning.
More than 11 million shares were exchanged hands in the opening hour when the stock dropped to Rp1680.
MNCN, parent of RCTI and GlobalTV, also collapsed 10% to Rp2600 with over 13 million shares exchanged hands.
BMTR is controlled by Harry Tanoesoedibjo, politician from Hanura Party, who recently declared as vice president candidate in next year’s election.
Bhakti Investama and MNC SkyVision also dropped substantially by 6.1% and 4.7% respectively.
