JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended lower 0.76% at 4732 Wednesday (Feb. 10) following regional markets.
Asian stock markets fell for a third consecutive day Wednesday, beset by nerves about shaky global growth, falling oil prices and possible capital shortfalls at major European banks, AP reported.
Astra Agro fell 1%, Adaro Energy dropped 2.54%, AKR Corporindo lost 3.36%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia declined 1.67%, Charoen Pokphand shed 2.54%, Indofood CBP slashed 3.15%, Indika Energy fell 2.56%, London Sumatra lost 2%, and United Tractors dropped 2.94%.
Nymex’s crude oil rose 2.2% to US$28.56 per barrel while gold fell 1.1% to US$1,185.50 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened to Rp13,538 against the US dollar.
