JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Agung Laksono, the Chairman of the Golkar Party as per result of the 2015 chairmanship congress (Munas) in Ancol, Jakarta, has asked the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to closely monitor the upcoming Golkar’s extraordinary congress (Munaslub).
Agung said KPK’s monitoring to the upcoming Golkar Munaslub is necessary needed to avoid money politics practices during the Munaslub.
The Munaslub itself is scheduled to be held in June 2016 as Agung faction and and the other faction within Golkar led by Aburizal “Ical”Bakrie agreed to hold a reconciliation Munaslub this year.
In the meantime, Vice President Jusuf Kalla, in his capacity as the Head of the Golkar’s transitional leadership, revealed that both factions will hold a meeting next week to form a joint organizing committee of the Munaslub.
