JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – In an effort of propelling the development of national livestock industry, the government exempts the Value Added Tax (VAT) of Cattle Broodstock, either local or imported, as long as they meet the provision and conditions set in the Finance Minister Regulation (PMK) Number 267 of 2015.

The regulation is effective since 8 January 2016 in which VAT is imposed at 10%.

The conditions are (the cattle broodstock) healthy, having a good organs and reproductive capacity, aged between 2-4 years old and free of any genetic and physical defects.

Especially for imported cattle broodstock, it must include animal health certificate issued by the veterinary authority from the country of origin as the fulfilment of the requirements for animal health, and published by the competent authorities of the country of origin.
