JAKARTA (Yosefardi) — The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the National Police have reached an agreement to altogether investigating all corruption allegations occurred in the state-owned port operator PT Pelindo II.

According to the Chief of the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Division (Bareskrim POLRI) Comr. Gen. Anang Iskandar, Pelindo II cases will become a pilot project of joint investigation between the Police and the KPK on handling corruption case.

The five new KPK’s commissioners, as reported earlier, have visited the National Police’s headquarters in Trunojoyo, South Jakarta, on last Monday.

The KPK has named former Presidential Director of PT Pelindo II Richard Joost (RJ) Lino as suspect in the scandalous Pelindo II’s procurement of 3 units of Quay Container Crane (QCC).

The Police, meanwhile, has named Pelindo II’s technical director Ferialdy Noerlan as suspect related to Pelindo II’s procurement of 10 units of mobile crane back in 2013. In this case, the Police has also questioned Lino as a witness for twice.

Lino himself has applied a pre-trial to challenge the KPK’s decision on naming him as suspect. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
