JAKARTA (Yosefardi) — The National Police’s Criminal Investigation Division (Bareskrim POLRI) is expected today (Jan. 6) to conduct another examination session over former Presidential Director of state-owned port operator PT Pelindo II Richard Joost (RJ) Lino.

Lino will be questioned related to corruption allegation in Pelindo II’s procurement of 10 units of mobile crane back in 2013.

The Wednesday’s session will be the third examination session for Lino. The Bareskrim has named one suspect in this case. He is Pelindo II’s technical director Ferialdy Noerlan.

In a related development, Lino himself has been named as suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in the scandalous Pelindo II’s procurement of 3 units of Quay Container Crane (QCC).

The KPK charged him with Article 2 paragraph 1 and or Article 3 of the Anti-Corruption Law No. 31/1999 which already amended by Law 20/2001 juncto Article 55 paragraph 1 poin 1 of the Criminal Code (KUHP).

Lino, however, has applied a pre-trial to challenge the KPK’s decision on naming him as suspect. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
