JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – San-Fransisco-based Uber, the ride-sharing and technology provider, claimed to have invested US$50 million in Indonesia.
Uber entered Indonesia since 2014 and targets to partner with 100,000 drivers by 2017. Currently Uber’s drivers reaches 12,000. Each driver could earn salary of Rp12 million per month.
Uber operates Uber X and Uber Black. Uber also claimed it has received a green light from DKI Jakarta governor for admitting Uber’s legality on operation in the city, following the approval from the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).
