HONG KONG (Yosefardi) – Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd booked net profit of HK$24 million in the first half ended June 30, 2013, a substantial improvement from net loss of HK$929 million in the corresponding period of 2012.
Cathay generated sales revenue of HK$48.6 billion in the first half, slipped 0.6% from the same period last year.
In the first half, Cathay transported 14.5 million passengers, inched up 1.3% from the corresponding period of 2012, while cargo and mail carried slipped 1.7% to 741,000 tons.
