JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) revealed on Tuesday (December 1) that November 2015 inflation was 0.21%, compared to 0.08% deflation in October 2015 and 0.05% deflation in September 2015. November inflation was the lowest for the past five years.
Off 82 cities, 69 cities recorded inflation, highest occurred in Merauke (2.35%) and the lowest occurred in Ternate (0.02%). Meanwhile 13 cities recorded deflation, the highest occured in Pangkalpinang (1.02%), and the lowest accoured in Manado (0.01%).
The inflation in August 2015 was contributed by staple food (0.33%), processed food, beverages, cigarettes, and tobacco (0.47%), housing, water, electricity, gas, fuel (0.15%), clothing (0.01%), health (0.44%), education, recreation, and sport (0.05%), and transportation, communication, finance services (0.06%).
While clothing recorded deflation of 1.23%. Year to date inflation was 2.37% while year on year inflation was 4.89%.
