JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The National Transportation Safety Commission (KNKT) is expected today (Dec. 1) to release the results of their investigation over the crash of AirAsia QZ8501 Airbus A320-200 that killed 162 people on-board last year.
The results will be announced in a press briefing held at the KNKT’s headquarters in the office of the Ministry of Transportation in Medan Merdeka Timur, Central Jakarta.
Previously, the KNKT had ruled out terrorism behind the AirAsia crash. According to Andreas Hananto, Head of the KNKT’s investigator team, the team have found no evidence that terrorism played a part in the crash after transcribing half of the QZ8501’s black box.
AirAsia QZ8501 was crashed on Dec. 28, 2014, in the Karimata Strait, of South Kalimantan. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
