JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has on Tuesday (August 13) night arrested Rudi Rubiandini, head of the powerful Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Body (SKK Migas), in a bribery case.

Busyro Muqqodas, deputy chairman of KPK, confirmed the arrest was related to bribery case, where KPK also detained four others, including Rudi’s driver and one businessman identified as S.

Rudi, shaking hand of SBY in the picture (when he was sworn in as vice minister of energy), was arrested from his home at the prestigious area of Jl Brawijaya, South Jakarta. KPK also confiscated hundreds of thousands USD (US$700,000) of cash money at the location and Rudi’s BMW motorcycle.

SKK Migas is an organization established by President SBY to replace BPMigas, which was dismissed by the Constitutional Court last year.
