MAKASSAR (Yosefardi) – Transportation minister Ignasius Jonan said the government allocates Rp40 trillion for funding the Trans Makassar-Manado railway project.
The railway has 2000 kilometers length and costs Rp20 billion per kilometer. The project will start at Barru regency, South Sulawesi. This year the construction for Makassar-Parepare is targeted to reach more than 16 kilometers.
The transportation minister attended festival of KTI Forum (forum of eastern part of Indonesia) held in November 17-18, 2015 in Makassar.
