JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Royal Bank of Scotland N.V. reportedly mulls to quit from Indonesia, to close its branch.
Irwan Lubis, a deputy of Financial Service Authority (OJK), told reporters that Royal Bank has not yet submitted the formal proposal or report about this issue.
Royal Bank of Scotland, Indonesian branch, reported a 67.47% drop loan disbursement to Rp1.08 trillion during the first half of 2015, compared to Rp3.32 trillion loan in the corresponding period of 2014.
The bank’s assets reached Rp3.2 trillion, fell 38.46% from previous Rp5.2 trillion. Third party funds (deposits) declined 29% to Rp174.06 billion from earlier Rp245.22 billion.
The demand deposit also fell 29.94% to Rp1.1 trillion from Rp1.57 trillion a previous year. The bank’s CAR stood at 61.53% and LDR was 84.51%.
