JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Government targets to auction Umbulan water project (East Java) in December this year, starting construction next year.
This project has gained principal permit and Viability Gap Fund (VGF) (Rp830 billion) from the finance ministry and support from state-owned PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia, an underwriting entity for infrastructure project.
The government also allocates Rp300 billion on the state budget for this project. The remain concern on Umbulan water project, which costs Rp1.8 trillion, is the tariff issue.
The government has selected 5 consortium after passing the pra-qualification process to participate on the tender for Umbulan water project.
That 5 consortium are
1) PT Medco-PT Bangun Cipta Kontraktor
2) Marubeni Corp-Nippon Koei Co. Ltd-PT Perkom Indah Murni
3) China Harbour Engineering Co.Ltd-Sound Global Ltd-PT Manggala Purnama Sakti
4) PT Amerta Bumi Capital-PT Bakrieland Development Tbk-Beijing Enterprise Water Group
5) Kukdong Engineering 7 Construction-PT Lantas Abipraya-PT Grundfos Pompa-PT Pralon
Umbulan water project will have capacity of 4000 liters per second, to serve Pasuruan regency (420 liters per second), Pasuruan City (110 liters), industrial area in Pasuruan (100 liters), Surabaya (1000 liters), Sidoarjo (1370 liters) and Gresik regency (1000 liters).
